Chamber: Map seller unauthorized
The Marble Falls area is facing another round of a company claiming to represent a local organization or agency with a fundraising project which is actually unauthorized.
The latest incident involves the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce. Kathy Daniels, membership coordinator at the chamber, says the business organization has been made aware of a company called Premier Maps, which she said is attempting to sell advertising on maps of the area to local businesses.
Daniels said the company is representing itself as “authorized by” or “in support of” the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce.
Daniels said the only entity in a contract with the Chamber to sell maps, specifically the Community Map and the Downtown Walking Map, is Community Matters.
If people have any questions about advertising or fundraising that supports the chamber of commerce, they can call 830.693-2815 for more information.
